Anthony “Sonny” Novich
Anthony Earl Novich, Jr., age 76, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 6th, 2023. Visitation will be 10-11 am, with the Funeral beginning at 11 am, both on Friday, May 12th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery.
Anthony was born on April 2nd, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas, and was one of five children born to Anthony “Tony” & Virginia (Vale) Novich, Sr. Anthony “Sonny” was a lifelong Kansas City, Kansas resident and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in the Class of 1965. He married Patricia Ristow on August 15th, 1970 in Edwardsville and together they made their home in Kansas City, KS., where they raised their two sons. Sonny worked for many years as an Auto Mechanic and he and Patricia Owned and Operated A&P Towing. Sonny had also worked at Columbia Steel and Tank and as a Reserve Police Officer in Edwardsville. Over the years he enjoyed Hunting & Fishing with his family and he and Patricia enjoyed going on Trail Rides with their horses.
Sonny was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Novich in 2004, he was also preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: an infant sister Susan Novich, Teresa Gonzelez, and by his twin sister Annette Passler.
Survivors include his two sons: Anthony Novich, III of the home, Paul Novich and his wife Eileen of Garnett, KS., one sister Karen Bennett of Kansas City, KS., and one granddaughter Isabella Novich, adopted grandchild Johnnie Bustamante as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
