Obituary for Ann Jane Pritchett
Ann Jane Pritchett, age 91, of the Northland area of Kansas City, Mo., and formerly of Kansas City, KS., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23rd, 2023. Funeral Mass will be at 4 pm, Thursday, Jan 4th at St. Therese Catholic Church. 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, MO 64152 After mass, a celebration of life will be held at Cascone’s, 3733 North Oak Trafficway Kansas City, MO 64116. Dinner optional.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Wayside Waifs or the Humane Society in honor of her dogs that she loved so dearly.
Ann was born on January 11, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the youngest of two children born to Tom & Maude (O’Byrne) Argubright. Ann grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, and graduated from Ward High School in the Class of 1950. She married Robert “Posey” Pritchett on June 7th, 1957 and together they made their home and raised their children in Kansas City, KS. Ann had a career in Banking and later Bethany Hospital, later she also worked at Hunters Glen Apartments in the Northland. Ann enjoyed vacationing with family to various locations including Las Vegas and Reno where her favorite games were Poker and Blackjack. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially their weekly trips to Cascone’s for dinner.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother Andrew Argubright, son Brian Keith Pritchett, her husband Robert “Posey” Pritchett and her son-in-law Matthew Duprey.
Survivors include her daughter Melissa Duprey of Shawnee, Kansas. Two granddaughters: Shannon Stoneback and husband Brian and Natalie Weaver and husband Nick all of Denver, Co., niece Susan Flentie and husband Bob of Shawnee, KS., as well as many other dear family and friends.
