Obituary for Amelia Kelly Ward
Amelia Kelly Ward, infant daughter of Daniel & Meghan Ward of Basehor, Kansas passed away on January 22nd, 2023 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 11am Saturday, Jan. 28th at the Elm Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City or Joy Meadows.
Amelia was born on January 11th 2023 at Children’s Mercy. Although her life was brief, the love she received was endless and her life deeply impacted hundreds who followed her story.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Martin Scarborough.
Survivors include her loving parents, Daniel & Meghan Ward of the home, two brothers: Micah Ward of the home and Tallen Cook and wife Jenna of St. Petersburg, FL., maternal grandmothers: Melanie Butler of Shelby, NC and Maureen O’Connell of Glendale, AZ., paternal grandparents: Rod Ward and wife Joan of Springfield, AR, and Kelly Ward of Wichita, KS., maternal great-grandparents: Steven & Norella Wright of Lenexa, KS. Paternal great-grandmother: Audrie Auten of Wichita, KS., and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
