Obituary for Adrianne M. Forson (Bohr)

Adrianne “Adrian”, “Sadie”, Marie (Bohr) Forson, age 78, of Basehor, Kansas and previously of Kansas City, Kansas went to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 20, 2023. On Wednesday, April 26th the visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. On Thursday, April 27th the Rosary Service will be at 10:30 am and the Funeral Mass Service will be at 11 am, both at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor. Burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial contributions can be made to the Holy Angels CWO (Catholic Women’s Organization) in care of the Church.

Adriannne Marie Bohr was born on September 6, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri, and was one of ten children born to Lewis & Mary (Andriano) Bohr. She and her siblings were raised in Kansas City, Kansas where she attended Wyandotte High School. Adrianne married Dale Hadlock Shirley and they made their home in Kansas City, KS where they raised their son, Dale E. Shirley. She had worked at the Kansas City, KS City Hall with the Humane Society and CTI Transportation. Later Adrianne married Richard “Butch” F. Forson and together they lived in Kansas City, KS, and Basehor, he preceded her in death in 2011. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and has been a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church for over 30 years, where she was very active in the CWO and Church Building Committee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings: Patti Jo Bohr, Kenneth Bohr, Georgianne Payne, and Charles Bohr.

Survivors include her son Dale E. Shirley and his wife Carie of Basehor. Siblings: Robert Bohr and wife Linda of Shawnee, KS., Elizabeth “Biz” Jones and husband Alfred of Riverside, MO., James Bohr and wife Cindy of The Villages, Florida, Joseph Bohr and wife Diane of Lenexa, KS., Edward Bohr and wife Shirley of Kansas City, KS. Six grandchildren: Jacob Merrick and wife Kenzi, Jacob Coleman, Abigail Shirley, Noah Merrick, Mitchell Wenger, Chelsea Suleiman and husband Ferris, and three great-grandchildren. Stepdaughter-in-law Cindy Merrick and husband Chad of Basehor. As well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many, many friends.
