Charles R. Young, age 84, of Kansas City, KS. died Oct. 31, 2016. Visitation 10-11am, Memorial Service 11am, Sat., Nov. 19th at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Memorials to Alzheimer’s Assoc. c/o funeral home.

Charles was born on Oct. 3, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was employed by CertainTeed Corporation for the majority of his working life. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family, gardening with his wife and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Young, his parents Chancy and June Young, three brothers; Chancy and his wife Carmen, Glenn and Merle, and one sister Evelyn Ensign. Survivors include his daughter June Justice and husband Darrin, son James Young and wife Karol all of Kansas City, KS., one brother Joydean Young and wife Vera of Mound City, KS., two sister-in-laws; Annie and France Young of Kansas City, KS., eight grandchildren; Justin (Heide) Justice, Amanda (John) Young, Jason (Jessica) Justice, JaCoby Young, Melanie Young, Jaimee Wild, Karlee Wild and Taylor (Fawn) Wild. Five great-grandchildren; Jameson, Anabelle, Halen, Roman and Trinity as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
