Betty J Timmons (age 82) of Kansas City, KS. passed away on March 8th, 2018 at her home with family present. There will be a celebration of life in her honor at Cedar Hill Family Orchard (3341 N 139th Kansas City, KS) on Saturday, March 24th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
Betty was born 09/22/35 in Shawnee, Kansas to Walter and Edna Liestman. Betty Jo was married to
Walter Joe Timmons on 11/5/54. Betty spent most of her life around the Kansas City area with much of that time in the Basehor community. Most recently she resided at Victory Hills Senior Living Community. She spent much of her career working in the Health Care Industry and had retired from Providence Medical Center where she had worked in the emergency room. She is preceded in death by Mother and Father Walter and Edna Liestman, Husband Walter Joe Timmons, Sisters Mary Lou Oliver and Audrey Culbertson, Brother William Liestman. Betty is survived by Son Neal Timmons (Sarah), Daughters Janet Turnbaugh (Victor) And Marilyn Bennett (Richard), Sisters Carol Hastings and Dianne Culey (Richard), Grandchildren Jacqy Frazier (Jason), Jacob Timmons, Jenna and Molly Turnbaugh, Beau, Broc, and Bailey Bennett. Betty had one great-grandson, Bruce Frazier. Her loves were her entire extend family and enjoyed the quiet time at home enjoying a good novel. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.
