Obituary for Barbara J. Love (Simms)
Barbara J.(Simms) Love, 7/13/1929-2/25/2018, of Grandview Missouri and previously of Bonner Springs, Kansas has made the transition from her temporary headquarters to an Eternal Resting Place.
Barb Jean, as she was affectionately known, through the years was a key member of many service and civic organizations in the greater Kansas City Area. Her graceful and friendly demeanor was reflected in her love of the Arts, especially Music, Dance and Impromptu sketching and painting. As a mother of 3 children she will be remembered as a teacher, counselor, provider and a strong disciplinarian with a gentle touch.
Barb Jean was a bright light to all of those in her path and was always proud to acknowledge that the “shine” she possessed was rooted in her upbringing in the All American City of Bonner Springs Kansas.
After college at Pittsburgh State, Barbara decided to enter the field of Medical Technology and pursue Art as a lifelong hobby.
She is preceded in death by her husband and best friend, William A. Love Sr. Barbara is survived by her children who are very thankful for your inspirational thoughts and prayers.
Her family is planning a private service with burial in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice.
