Obituary for James E. Miller Jr.

James E.  Miller Jr.
James “Jim” E. Miller, Jr., age 49, of Bonner Springs, KS. passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017. Visitation 5-7pm, Memorial Service 7pm both Monday, Oct. 16th, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial with full Military Honors will be 10am Tuesday, Oct. 17th, at the Fort Leavenworth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Joyce Miller for his daughters education.

Jim was born on May 9th, 1968 in Yuma, Arizona. He was a Lead Electrical Designer at AECOM in Overland Park, KS. Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. His passion was raising and spending time with his daughters, Haley and Hanna. He loved nothing more than watching them both play soccer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Not to mention he loved to BBQ and was an avid Chiefs, Sporting KC and KU Jayhawk fan.

Jim was preceded in death by his father James Edward Miller.

Survivors include his two daughters Haley and Hanna Miller of the home, his mother Joyce Miller of Olathe, KS., one brother Jeff Miller and wife Lisa of Overland Park, KS., one uncle Bob Barragan and wife Erika of Spring, TX., one aunt Donna Turley of Kansas City, KS., as well as his niece and nephew, Sophie and Xander.
