Life Story for Jeffrey A. Burr

Jeffrey “Jeff” A. Burr, age 60, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23rd at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation one hour prior to the service also at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers, but memorial contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project in care of the funeral home.

Jeff was born on Sept. 17, 1955 in Dodge City, KS. and graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, MO. Jeff was very proud to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After serving he began his career in the Plastic Manufacturing Industry, working most recently for R&D Tool and Engineering in Lee’s Summit, MO. Before his illness he was an avid Artist and Gardner. Jeff was preceded in death by his Sister-in-law; Linda Burr. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Julie “Miller” Burr of the home. Three children; Misty Hale (Marty) of Lenexa, KS., James Burr of Madison, WI., and Jessica Hodge of the home, his father Jim Burr (Hortense) of Overland Park, KS., his Mother Joyce Burr (Donald Jones) of Overland Park, KS., four siblings Jennifer LePage (Joe), Judith Forbes (Carl), Jane Coon (Richard), Jon Burr, and his five grandchildren; Gaby, Trey, Jaden, Aarilynn and Remington.
