Obituary for Johnnie Lee Kueker

Johnnie Lee Forbes Kueker, 90, of Shawnee, KS passed away on Mon., Aug. 15, 2016 at the Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Overland Park, KS. Visitation 10 am to 12 Noon and Funeral at 12 Noon on Sat., Aug. 20, at the Monticello United Methodist Church, 23860 W. 75th St., Shawnee, KS 66227. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Church. Mrs. Kueker was born on April 3, 1926 in Colorado City, TX. She met and married Loren Kueker and then moved to the Monticello area in 1944. Later after a short time living in Fort Dodge, IA she and her family moved back to the Monticello area of Shawnee, KS. She worked mostly as a cook for the Shawnee Mission School District retiring in 1985. Since then she has been active in the community, involved in the Merry Maker Pinochle Club, the Monticello United Methodist Church and their United Methodist Women’s group. She was very involved in raising her grandchildren . She also loved to garden and had beautiful flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Loren Kueker in 1990. And was the last of her eight siblings to pass. She is survived by her three children Cynthia Ashby (Ron) of Shawnee, KS; Melanie Duncan of Fenton, MO and Loren Kueker Jr. (Deborah) of DeSoto, KS. 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons.
