Obituary for Elizabeth Daniels Banzhaf

Elizabeth Daniels Banzhaf, age 93, of Denver, CO and previously of Basehor, KS passed away on Nov. 18, 2015. Funeral Mass Service, 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 15440 Leavenworth Rd., Basehor, Kansas. Memorial Donations to Holy Angels Catholic Church Building Fund.
Elizabeth was born March 8, 1922, in Kansas City, KS. She married Karl Banzhaf on June 12, 1943 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, he preceded her in death in 1996. She spent most of her career as a secretary. She was the secretary in the public relations department at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS for many years. She was also a tour guide and secretary at the Agricultural Hall of Fame for 10 years. She enjoyed volunteering at Sacred Heart School in Bonner Springs as well as for Sister Servants of Mary, and St Mary’s College at the Mother house. She was also secretary for “Mothers against Drunk Driving” for the Leavenworth County office.
She is preceded in death by her beloved siblings Josephine, Gabriel and Rose, her Mother and Father and her husband Karl. She is survived by her brother Joseph Daniels of Tonganoxie, Kansas and two children: her son Dave Banzhaf of Lone Tree, Colorado, his wife Sandy, their children Cassie and Eric and her daughter Mary Krouse of Tonganoxie, Kansas, her husband Butch and their children Rena, Greg and Megan as well as two great-grandchildren.
