David was born on May 14, 1958 in Shawnee, KS to Everett and Jean Britt. David was lucky enough to have three very loving and drama filled sisters, Sandy, Karin and Kathy. Having many wonderful years growing up around his sisters, David then went to Benedictine College where he had way to many shenanigans with his dear friend Carlos Chavez. David was fortunate to meet a woman just as stubborn as he was through all that. And somehow he convinced her to marry him and on Feb. 20, 1982 Kimberly Schrick said “I do.” A few years later they were blessed with two just as rowdy children Cary and Caitlin. David loved his family and friends and sharing many stories with them, even if they were a little, Okay a lot, over exaggerated. And he especially liked spending time outdoors doing the things he loved like fishing, camping, sports and sort of singing music. David was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew Charlie Britt. And is survived by his wife of 33 years Kim Britt of the home. Two children Cary Britt of Linwood, KS and Caitlin Britt and her fiancé Don Reed of Manhattan, KS. Three sisters Sandy Trump (Rich) of Olathe, KS; Karin Gatewood (Randall) of Lavon, TX; and Kathy Anderson (David) of Burleson, TX. And three grand dogs.
