Stephen Robert Morgan, 71, Edwardsville, KS died Mon., June 15, 2015 at Providence Medical Center in K.C., KS Memorial Mass will be 6 PM, Thurs., June 25, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Monticello Road and Johnson Drive in Shawnee KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the church. Stephen was born on January 1, 1944 in Washington, KS grew up in Hanover, KS and has lived in the Edwardsville, KS area since 1973. He was proud to have graduated from Fort Hays State University, where he received his BS in mathematics. He had worked for Boeing in Wichita and the Union Pacific Railroad in Kansas City before becoming a registered Land Surveyor and later he retired from Douglas County where he worked as their Land Surveyor. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Morgan of Hanover, KS in April 2015. He is survived by three children Stephanie Malkames (Jeff) of Olathe, KS; Travis Morgan (Megan) of Edwardsville, KS and Sandy Morgan of Kansas City, KS. One brother FR Jerome Morgan of Salina, KS and one sister Jan Kearby of Hot Springs Village, AR. Six grandchildren Abby, Connor, Ellie, Taylor, Brody and Lucas and one four-legged friend brownie.
