Lewis “Pete” Highman
Pete Highman, age 59, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in Leavenworth V.A. National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. Friends may call at the visitation from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday evening, May 26, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas City Hospice in care of the funeral home. Pete was born on January 4, 1956 in Lawrence, KS and has been a lifelong Kansas City area resident. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1975 and then served 10 years in the U.S. Army. Pete had work for many years as a HVAC Technician most recently with the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. Pete is survived by his wife of 16 years Cheryl Highman of the home and three children Katie Meier (Aaron) of KC, KS; Joseph Trowbridge (Ashley) of Bonner Springs, KS and Sarah Neumann (Gary) of Bonner Springs, KS. Two brothers Jack Highman of KC, KS; Marty Poff of KC,KS three sisters Char Davenport of Emporia, KS; Carol Hornback of KC, KS and Marsha Colwell of KC, KS. And eight grandchildren.
