Inez M. Baker, R.N., age 91 of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at her home, while surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be Noon, Friday, Jan. 30th, 2015 at the First Christian Church of Bonner Springs with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. The family will receive friends at a visitation for 11:00 am to Noon prior to the service also at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Bonner Springs Ambulance, those can be mailed to the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Inez was born on August 17, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Bethany Hospital School of Nursing and John Hopkins Hospital and received her B.S. and Masters from Pittsburg State University. Inez was an R.N. at Bethany Hospital for over 20 years before going on to teach nursing at AVTS in Kansas City, KS. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church from 1937 to 1978 and currently was a member of the First Christian Church of Bonner Springs. Inez was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Don Baker and one son David Baker. Survivors include four children Gregg Baker of Anchorage, AK., Richard Baker of Bellingham, WA., Paul Baker of Manford, OK and Kristina Baker of Aberdeen, SD., ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
